Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Individual Counseling Focuses on the individual’s concerns and needs within the therapeutic environment. Individual counseling can be provided to children, adolescents, and adults. However, the framework of the counseling session will look different to meet the client’s goals (See specific types of counseling below). Goals are established in a collaborative effort, therapist and client working together toward a common purpose. One, several, or all of the methods described below might be used by a therapist to empower the client to reach their goals.
